Introduction Serie 1

Jump into your inner world

Series 1 explores the concept of shadow work and the confrontation with the hidden parts of the self. The works invite viewers to look beyond the surface and face aspects of their identity that are often ignored, suppressed, or difficult to acknowledge. Through distortion, layered color, and emotional tension, the series creates a space where discomfort becomes part of the experience. Rather than offering immediate resolution, the works encourage reflection. By confronting these inner shadows, the viewer is invited to move toward awareness, acceptance, and a deeper understanding of themselves

I AM (after Chopin – Prelude in E minor)

This piece comes from a very personal place. Even though I live with myself every day, I don’t always feel certain of who I am. When I remove the roles I play, the expectations, and the versions of me that exist for others, I’m left with something undefined, something still forming.

I’ve always returned to Chopin’s Prelude in E minor when sitting with this feeling. The piece never gives me answers, but it makes the uncertainty feel recognized. In this work, the face is present but incomplete, eyes closed, turned inward rather than outward. The shifting color planes and fragmented lines reflect the tension between clarity and confusion, between what feels real and what slips away.

This portrait doesn’t try to resolve the question of identity. It holds it open, allowing the uncertainty to exist.
