Before it became my work, it was simply how I experienced the world.

Before I knew what synesthesia was, I thought everyone saw color the moment a sound appeared. I believed it was normal to hear a voice and see blue, moss green, or soft brown form somewhere inside. Only later did I realise that this was something that belonged only to my own perception. I was around my last year of high school when I found out that I had always experienced the world a little different
I combine my art with my synesthesia, where sound becomes color and movement in my mind automatically and without choice. It is a neurological condition I was born with, where my senses overlap. The colors in my work are not decisions or visual preferences. They are the exact tones I neurologically see when I listen to music, when I remember, or when a certain atmosphere appears. Each portrait begins there, not with a face but with a sensory impression that slowly takes shape.

.Art became the place where I could translate this internal world into something visible. Not to explain it completely, because it cannot fully be explained, but to let it be felt. I want the viewer to recognise something emotionally before trying to understand it with words.Through my work, I share a way of perceiving that is constant and invisible in daily life, and for a moment, it becomes visible.
